Utah AMBER Alert

West Valley City authorities issued an Amber Alert late Monday for three children missing since Sunday. The children were taken by their father, 30-year-old Israel Hernandez, for a visit on Sunday. Police believe the children are in danger. The suspect recently lost custody of the children after reports of abuse. The court gave custody to the suspect's sister. The children's father picked them up from her for a visit Sunday at 10 a.m., but the sister became concerned when they had not returned by that evening. The father is believed to be driving a maroon Chevy Corsica or a black Cadillac Escalade. Police don't know the license plate numbers. He may be with his girlfriend, who they identified as Martha Torres. Lt. Dallin Taylor of the West Valley Police Department said they may be headed to California or Mexico.

Hernandez is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 155 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes. He may have a mustache and goatee, and both of his ears are pierced. He may be wearing glasses.

The children are 3-year-old Xiomara Hernandez-Torres. She is 3 feet tall, with black hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a rose-colored shirt and black pants with white shoes. 6-year-old Alicia Hernandez, who is 3 feet 6 inches tall, weighs 40 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a red and pink shirt with white shorts and pink shoes. 4-year-old Pablo Hernandez. He is 3 feet tall and weighs 30 pounds. He has brown eyes and short black hair. He was wearing a blue shirt with white stripes, blue jeans and white shoes.
